We had our breakfast first at Tsui Wah Restaurant. They serve local food here. I was surprised that when we went out of the restaurant the queue outside was very long. It must be popular among locals.
We took the Hong Kong MTR again going to Lantau. We wanted to see the giant Buddha and maybe - just maybe, the Ocean Park. Lantau is far from the city so the train ride was long. But as a tourist, you will not get bored as you look outside the window to see the beautiful and interesting sights.
Ok, here's the painful truth - when we arrived in Lantau there was a notice saying that the cable car was not working. Ouch! I forgot to tell you in the beginning that one of the reasons we wanted to go to Lantau is the cable car ride. So at that point, we decided to just go back to the city and explore the area of the avenue of stars. I have a list of tourist spots I wanted to visit in the city anyways.

We took an exit from the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station to go to the avenue of the stars. As much as I wanted to go in every museum here - I just can't as our flight was at 8pm that day - so for now, photos of the building is enough for me - LOL.
I really wanted to go to the Victoria peak but it was so foggy that day. Some of the helpful filipinos we talked to when we asked for directions advised not to go there this time because we might not appreciate it as it was really that foggy. I was really disappointed.

We still had some time to spare so we went to the malls to window shop. I like that Hong Kong has a lot of International labels - high end and mid range brands - that we cannot find in Singapore. This proves Hong Kong is definitely the shopping haven. Now I know why a lot of my girl friends always wanted to go here to shop!
We then took the MTR again going to the airport. We did not buy a special ticket anymore going to the airport - we just topped up our Octopus card! Convenient and cheap! I wish that we have that train system in Manila.
Even before our trip to Hong Kong, I know that 3 days is not enough - and it really wasn't. There's still a lot to explore and visit! Now the only question is when. :)
